Isolation facility to rise inside military camp

THE Office of the Chief Minister of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) has released P11.24 million to fund the construction of an isolation facility for Covid-19 patients inside a military camp in Maguindanao.

The fund, which was released Monday, March 29, 2021 represents the first tranche of assistance of BARMM to the Army’s 6th Infantry Division (ID) in putting up an isolation facility.

The two-story isolation facility will be constructed at Camp Siongco that houses the 6ID headquarters in Barangay Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao.

BARMM Assistant Executive Secretary Abdullah Cusain, on behalf of BARMM Chief Minister Ahod Balawag, handed the checks to Major General Juvymax Uy, 6ID commander.

Balawag’s office has already financed the construction of several Covid-19 isolation facilities in the five provinces of BARMM during the pandemic. (SunStar Zamboanga)
