THE Cebu City Transportation Office (CCTO) issued 21,340 traffic citations to violators in March 2021, which is nearly double the 11,264 issued in February 2021.

Common traffic violations include stopping at no-stopping signs, no vehicle registration, and no driver’s license.

CCTO also clamped 840 vehicles that were illegally parked overnight. It also impounded 619 motorcycles.

Other vehicles impounded include 10 e-bikes, 11 traysikad, 25 four-wheeled vehicles, one tricycle, 10 trucks, three public utility jeepney, and one trailer.

CCTO urged traffic violators to pay their fines so that their violations will not be brought to court. (REV/With NRC)
