Cagayan de Oro logs 65 new Covid-19 cases in 4 days

THE Cagayan de Oro City Health Office logged 65 new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in four days, one of which was a locally stranded individual (LSI) from Manila and 64 were local transmissions.

This brought the total number of confirmed coronavirus infections in the city to 4,200.

Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said of the 64 new local cases, 28 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, seven were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), and 29 were local index cases.

Of the 4,200 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 430 were under the returning overseas Filipino workers/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 3,770 cases are local transmissions.

Cagayan de Oro recorded 188 active cases, 43 of whom are admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 140 are outpatients, and five are ROFs/LSIs.

The city also registered 24 new coronavirus-positive persons who were tagged as "recovered." The total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro was at 3,813, bringing down the city's recovery rate to 90.78 percent.

Of the figure, 303 were LSIs, 121 were ROFs, and 3,389 were local cases.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city was at 199.
