Meditalk: Problematic brown spots on face (part 1)

DEAR Dr. Fritz,

I am so problematic of the brown spots on my face. I don’t like them. I have tried skin peeling before, but I don’t like it. Is there a natural way?

Hoping for your help. Thanks.

Carlota Ball

Dear Carlota Ball,

Well, if you want them to lighten naturally, here’s your list of your easy and natural home treatments. Be sure to hang on, because the pace is quite long here. You have to have loads of patience.

1. Lemon Juice

This has natural bleaching properties which can help get rid of those horrible brown spots. Here’s what you have to do:

Apply fresh lemon juice directly on those affected areas. Leave it on for 30 minutes before you rinse it off with cold water. Repeat this twice a day for about two months to get some positive results. But, if you have some sensitive skin, you have to add some water, rosewater of honey to your lemon juice.

You can also mix enough sugar in your lemon juice to make a paste. Use it as a scrub on your face, and concentrate more on your problematic brown spots. Leave it on for 30 minutes and then rinse it off. Do this two to three times a week.

2. Buttermilk

This has lactic acid that can help exfoliate your skin to remove the blemishes and brown spots without drying out your skin. There are two ways on how you apply buttermilk.

You can apply buttermilk on your brown spots using a cotton ball. Leave this for a few minutes before you rinse it out with water. But, if you have oily skin or acne, you can add some lemon juice to the buttermilk.

Well, as we are running out of space this time, let me continue this topic in my next issue.

Until then!

Dr. Fritz
