Active Covid-19 cases in Central Luzon over 13,000

THE spike in coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases continued Tuesday, April 6, as the active cases in Central Luzon have exceeded the 13,000 mark.

Based on Department of Health (DOH)-Central Luzon’s report, there are a total of 13,112 active Covid-19 cases Central Luzon as of Monday, April 5.

Bulacan province still has the highest number of active cases with 7,180, followed by Pampanga (including Angeles City) with 2,816, and Nueva Ecija with 1,341.

The province of Tarlac also posted 692 active Covid-19 cases, while Bataan had 525, Zambales (including Olongapo City) had 439, and Aurora had 119.

Most of the patients, or about 12,987, were manifesting mild symptoms, while 40 were moderately symptomatic, 49 were in severe symptomatic, 19 were in critical condition and 17 are asymptomatic.

On the same bulletin, DOH-Central Luzon reported that number of Covid-19 cases have already reached 57,469 with 43,343 recoveries and 1,014 deaths. (With a report from Ian Ocampo Flora)
