Active Covid-19 cases in Oro rise to 193

THE number of active coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Cagayan de Oro went up to 193.

As of 10 p.m. of April 5, the City Health Office recorded 10 new cases, one of which is a locally stranded individual (LSI), three are local cases with link, five are local index cases, and one local authorized person outside residence (Apor).

This brought the cumulative Covid-19 case count to 4,210.

According to Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery, of the 4,210 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 431 were under the returning overseas Filipinos/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 3,779 cases were local transmissions.

The local cases consist of 189 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs), 2,019 local index cases and 1,570 local cases with link.

The city's active cases, on the other hand, was composed of 50 who were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 138 outpatients, and five ROFs/LSIs.

Cagayan de Oro also registered five Covid-positive patients who have recovered from the virus, bringing the total recoveries to 3,818, with a 90.68 percent recovery rate.

Of the figure, 303 were LSIs, 121 were ROFs, and 3,394 were local cases (community: 2870; Apors: 524).

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city remains at 199.
