POLICE arrested two most wanted persons for rape charges in Eastern Visayas during separate operations in Cavite and Northern Samar Tuesday, April 6, 2021.
Junie Reazon, number 5 most wanted of Leyte, was arrested in Barangay Navarro, General Trias, Cavite by virtue of a warrant dated February 17, 2017.
The 23-year-old man is a resident of Alangalang, Leyte.
Another accused, Richard Mendez Escototo, was arrested in San Isidro, Northern Samar.
Escototo, a resident of Mondragon town and listed as number 5 most wanted of Northern Samar, has a warrant dated December 12, 2012.
The judges did not recommend bail to them, according to the information released by the Eastern Visayas regional police command.
Authorities brought the accused to their respective police stations for documentation prior to their turnover to the courts of origin. (SunStar Philippines)
