Oro records 27 recoveries, recovery rate at 91.82%

THE recovery rate of Cagayan de Oro City has risen to 91.82 percent after the city recorded 27 new Covid-19 recoveries, bringing the total number of those who have recovered from the disease to 3,845.

The city's recovery rate was at 91.82 percent.

Of the 3,845 recoveries, 303 were locally stranded individuals (LSIs), 121 were returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs), and 3,421 were local cases (community: 2,896; Apors: 525).

As of 10 p.m. of April 6, 14 residents of the city have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, all of which were local transmissions.

This brought the total number of confirmed cases in Cagayan de Oro to 4,224.

Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said of the 14 new local cases, six were local cases with link, three authorized persons outside residence (Apors), and five local index cases.

Of the 4,224 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 431 were under the ROFs/LSIs category and 3,793 cases were local transmissions.

According to Nery, the 3,793 local cases consist of 189 persons deprived of liberty, 2,026 local index cases and 1,577 local cases with link.

Cagayan de Oro has recorded 179 active cases, 50 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 124 were outpatients, and five were ROFs/LSIs.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city was at 200.
