Porac mayor imposes stricter quarantine rules

PORAC Mayor Jaime Capil has issued Executive Order 9, imposing additional quarantine restrictions on social gatherings and business hours.

The executive order implements additional rules on the Provincial Executive Order 5 issued by Governor Dennis Pineda.

In the town order, the mayor ordered that business hours would be from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. only in line with the 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. province-wide curfew.

The order also prohibits all unauthorized forms of public gatherings in the town until April 15.

The town’s public market will only operate from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to the order.

Funeral services in the town have also been restricted to two days of public morning in which time the body of the deceased must be immediately buried with the strict observance of health protocols like social distancing.

The mayor also ordered the suspension of distribution and submission of modules until April 15 in public schools. Private and tertiary schools can continue holding classes provided all activities be done through online schooling.
