ANOTHER barangay health worker (BHW) from Macabebe town, Pampanga contracted the coronavirus a few days after receiving vaccine.
On the patient bulletin issued by the local government here, the 47-year-old frontliner from Barangay San Isidro has known comorbidity and has been undergoing dialysis treatment prior to vaccination.
She received her first dose of vaccine on March 29 and conducted various activities such as reporting for duty and receiving dialysis treatment before she developed symptoms.
The patient submitted to reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) testing on April 6 at the Green City Medical Center Pampanga and results came back positive the following day.
The patient was the second reported BHW who tested positive for the virus after receiving the first dose of vaccine.
