26 new Covid-19 cases in Cagayan de Oro

THE number of new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Cagayan de Oro has continued to increase as the City Health Office reported 26 residents who tested positive for the virus.

This brought the total number of confirmed infections in the city to 4,298.

According to the City Health Office, of the 26 local cases, three of whom were persons deprived of liberty (PDLs), 10 were local cases with link, three were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors) and 10 were local index cases.

Of the 4,298 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 431 were under the returning overseas Filipino workers/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 3,867 cases were local transmissions.

Cagayan de Oro has recorded 222 active cases, 66 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 151 were outpatients, and five were ROFs/LSIs.

The city also registered four new coronavirus-positive persons who were tagged as "recovered," bringing the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 3,875.

Of the figure, 303 were LSIs, 121 were ROFs, and 3,451 were local cases.

Cagayan de Oro's recovery rate was at 90.15 percent.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city was at 201.
