Active Covid-19 cases in Cagayan de Oro now at 242

THE number of active coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Cagayan de Oro went up to 242.

As of 10 p.m. Monday, April 12, the City Health Office recorded eight new cases, one of which is a local case with link, two are local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), and five are local index cases.

This brought the cumulative Covid-19 case count to 4,339.

According to Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery, of the 4,339 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 434 were under the returning overseas Filipinos/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 3,905 cases were local transmissions.

The local cases consist of 192 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs), 2,077 local index cases and 1,634 local cases with link.

The city's active cases, on the other hand, was composed of 62 who were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 173 outpatients, and seven ROFs/LSIs.

Cagayan de Oro also registered eight Covid-positive patients who have recovered from the virus, bringing the total recoveries to 3,894, with a 89.74 percent recovery rate.

Of the figure, 304 were LSIs, 121 were ROFs, and 3,469 were local cases (community: 2,943; Apors: 526).

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city remains at 203.
