THE local government of Sagay City and the second district of the province mourn the demise of lawyer Amalio Rivera Cueva, Jr., father of Second District Representative Leo Rafael "Bebo" Maranon Cueva. He was 91.

The Cueva patriarch was born on November 10, 1929.

Memorial services have been scheduled for Cueva at the St. Joseph Parish Church in Sagay City on April 14 at 5:30 p.m. and on Thursday, April 15 at 2 p.m., the family said.

The bereaved family encouraged everyone to offer prayers at the comfort of their homes due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In place of flowers or sympathy wreaths, donations to the St. Joseph Parish Church will be appreciated, the family further said.

The family also requested those who are attending the memorial services to strictly adhere to government-mandated health protocols by wearing face masks and face shields and observe physical distancing.
