City Health Office notes rising active Covid-19 cases in Oro

THE City Health Office has noted an increase in the number of active cases in Cagayan de Oro after the city registered new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases.

As of 10 p.m. of April 15, Cagayan de Oro recorded 10 local cases with link, three local authorized persons outside residence (Apors) and 12 local index cases.

This brought the cumulative number of Covid-19 infections to 4,412.

According to Acting City Health Office Dr. Lorraine Nery, of the 4,412 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 435 were under the returning overseas Filipinos/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 3,977 cases were local transmissions.

The city's active cases, on the other hand, reached 278, 84 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 186 were outpatients, and eight were ROFs/LSIs.

Cagayan de Oro also registered 11 Covid-positive patients who have recovered from the virus, bringing the total recoveries to 3,931, with a 89.09-percent recovery rate.

Of the figure, 304 were LSIs, 121 were ROFs, and 3,506 were local cases (community: 2,974; Apors: 532).

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is at 203.
