2 most wanted persons arrested in Bacolod

TWO most wanted persons were arrested in Bacolod City on Friday, April 16, 2021.

The third most wanted person in Police Station 2 was arrested by operatives in Purok Laurel, Barangay Mansilingan, in the city Friday morning.

Police identified the suspect as Ildefonso Opilda, 64, of the said barangay.

Police records showed the suspect was arrested by virtue of an arrest warrant for violation of Republic Act 8353 or the “ Anti-Rape Law of 1997.”

The arrest warrant was issued by Judge Ray Alan Drilon of Regional Trial Court Branch 41, Bacolod City with no bail recommended.

The suspect was detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 2.

Meanwhile, the 8th most wanted person in Police Station 1 was also arrested by operatives in Mabini-Libertad Streets, Barangay 40, Bacolod City Friday morning.

Police identified the suspect as Romeo Giganto, 49, of Barangay Napoles, Bago City.

Police records showed the suspect was arrested for the crime of murder.

The arrest warrant was issued by Judge Frances Guanzon of Regional Trial Court Branch 62, Bago City.

The suspect was also the topmost wanted person in Bago City Police Station.
