CONFIRMED coronavirus cases in Pampanga have reached a total of 12,462, according to the latest bulletin from the provincial government.
Total active cases from the said confirmed cases were at 2,924, as of April 17.
The Provincial Government of Pampanga said some 8,951 people recovered from the viral infection.
Some 587 people have died of the virus since March of 2020.
The spike in cases is now felt throughout Pampanga. Most of the biggest number of active cases are in the province's major cities. Active cases in the City of San Fernando alone have reached 730, the second-highest in the whole province.
Active cases in Angeles City reached a total of 862 though the Pampanga Information Office only reports 143. Mabalacat City’s active cases were at 443.
Other towns with a significant rise in active cases included Magalang (138), Floridablanca (137), Guagua (103), Lubao (147), Porac (167), Mexico (120), Arayat (106), and Candaba (178).
