Central Luzon police distribute food packs to Muslim families

POLICE Regional Office-Central Luzon officials distributed Saturday, April 17, 2021, food packs to Muslim families residing in the City of San Fernando.

Brigadier General Valeriano De Leon, PRO-Central Luzon director, said the food packs consisting of grocery items, bags of rice and hygiene kits were distributed to 35 Muslim families at Northville, Barangay Calulut and Barangay San Pedro Cutud, both of City of San Fernando.

"The distribution of food packs is in time with the celebration of Ramadan which is also the season of giving," said De Leon.

De Leon talked with the Muslim community and asked about their concerns regarding safety and security.

At the same time, he solicited their support in the maintenance of peace and order in the area.

"This activity which is simultaneously done in all the regions nationwide is initiated by our chief, said De Leon. (Ric Sapnu)
