Weekly disinfection of establishments mandatory in Masantol

AMID the rising number of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases, the local government of Masantol, Pampanga has required that all establishments be disinfected at least once every week.

Based on Executive Order (EO) 14-2021 signed by Mayor Dan Guintu, a total disinfection of the whole establishments must be conducted, aside from the regular cleaning done every day to minimize the presence of virus in the area.

Total disinfection also requires closure of the establishments for at least 24 hours, the EO stated.

For public places such as municipal hall, public market at church, Guintu scheduled the weekly disinfection every Fridays.

Private establishment owners, meanwhile, are given authority to choose their disinfection day as long as they follow the guidelines.

As of Monday, April 19, the number of active Covid-19 cases in Masantiol was 117, of which 26 are active.

The municipality shows the slowest increase in the number of cases in the Fourth District of Pampanga.
