Active Covid-19 cases in Cagayan de Oro now at 302

THE number of active coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Cagayan de Oro went up to 302.

As of 10 p.m. Monday, April 19, the City Health Office recorded 10 new cases, one of which is a local case with link, three are local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), and six are local index cases.

This brought the cumulative Covid-19 case count to 4,488.

According to Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery, of the 4,488 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 435 were under the returning overseas Filipinos/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 4,053 cases were local transmissions.

The local cases consist of 220 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs), 2,106 local index cases and 1,725 local cases with link.

The city's active cases, on the other hand, was composed of 98 who were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 196 outpatients, and eight ROFs/LSIs.

Cagayan de Oro also registered seven Covid-19 patients who have recovered from the disease, bringing the total recoveries to 3,983, with a 88.74 percent recovery rate.

Of the figure, 304 were LSIs, 122 were ROFs, and 3,557 were local cases (community: 3,011; Apors: 546).

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city remains at 203.
