Recovery rate in Cagayan de Oro down at 88.79%

THE recovery rate of Cagayan de Oro has gone down to 88.79 percent after the city recorded 20 Covid-19 recoveries, bringing the total number of those who have recovered from the disease to 4,003.

Of the 4,003 recoveries, 304 were locally stranded individuals (LSIs), 122 were returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs), and 3,577 were local cases (community: 3,028; Apors: 549).

As of 10 p.m. of April 20, 20 residents of the city have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, all of which were local transmissions. This brought the total number of confirmed cases in Cagayan de Oro to 4,508.

Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said of the 20 new local cases, nine are local cases with link, two are local persons outside residence (Apors), and nine are local index cases.

Of the 4,508 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 435 were under the ROFs/LSIs category and 4,073 cases were local transmissions.

Cagayan de Oro has recorded 301 active cases, 97 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 196 were outpatients, and eight were ROFs/LSIs.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is at 204.
