Mabalacat cops put up 'joy, love' pantry

EVEN cops in Pampanga have their own version of a community pantry established to help the needy people during this time of pandemic.

The Mabalacat City Police Station, under the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel Rossel Ibanez Cejas, put up a pantry in front of its headquarters in Barangay Mabiga.

The city police was able to implement the project dubbed Share with Joy -- Help with Love in cooperation with City Councilor Timmy Dee and Mabiga barangay chairman Elmer Calaguas.

The police community pantry benefitted hundreds of people residing in the city.

"The pilot opening of the community pantry was able to help our fellow Mabalaquenos, especially the less fortunate one, in a simple way through bayanihan amid the Covid-19 pandemic," the police station stated.

The cops added that this endeavor is expected to inspire and encourage the residents help their kababayans and keep the bayanihan spirit alive.

Mabalacat residents who want to contribute basic goods may drop their donations at the Mabalacat Police Station.
