Mohawa na ang Highway Patrol Group (HPG) 7 sa ilang buhatan sa luna nga gibarogan karon sa Gorordo Avenue, Cebu City ug mobalhin na kini sa Government Center sa Barangay Lahug.
Ang kasamtangan nga nahimutangan sa buhatan mao ang 679 sq.m nga luna nga gidonar sa miaging administrasyon apan, usa kini sa mga luna nga gustong bawion ni Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia tungod giingong depektuso ang deed of donation niini.
Gipatawag ni Garcia sa usa ka tigom si HPG-7 director Police Brigadier General Alexander Tagum ingon man ang sakop niini diin iyang gipasabot nga depektuso ang gi-donar nga luna tungod wala kini pagtugot sa Commission on Audit (COA).
“We are not private persons donating one property to another. We must abide by existing local government rules as well as the COA rules. The donation itself never passed approval from COA , that is the basic effect. We cannot even talk about the deed of donation before we hurdle that primary step that needed to be taken this was not done,” matod ni Garcia pinaagi sa Sugbo News.
Matod ni Provincial Legal Officer Donato Villa Jr. ubos sa Local Government Code kinahanglan nga moagi sa approval sa COA ang pagbaligya o pagdonar sa bisan unsa nga yuta sa gobyerno.
Sa iyang bahin, si HPG director Brigadier General Alexander Tagum nagkanayon nga ila nang ipahunong ang construction sa buhatan sa Gorordo Avenue.
“We will seek cease and desist action of our engineering service of the National Police para ma stop ang construction so we can plan out for the construction of the new building in the newly not donated lot but the usufruct. May ipahulam sa amo si Governor nga lot which I believe is bigger than the previous lot nga gi donate sa amoa,” matod ni Tagum pinaagi sa Sugbo News.
Gikatakda nga i-revoke na ang deed of donation og magpinirmahay na ang duha ka habig og usufruct alang sa pagpagamit sa luna sa HPG sulod sa 25 ka tuig. (ANV)
