Central Luzon Covid-19 cases reach 80,153

THE number of confirmed coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Central Luzon has reached 80,153, according to the latest data from the Department of Health (DOH).

For April 25 alone, 975 new cases have been added to the regional total from the different provinces of the region.

Bulacan has the highest number of cases at 36,959, followed by Pampanga (excluding Angeles City) with 15,267.

The total confirmed cases in Nueva Ecija are currently at 7,149, overtaking Bataan’s 5,900.

Tarlac province has recorded 5,225 confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic last year.

The DOH reported that 68,648 from the total regional confirmed cases have since recovered from the disease.

The total active cases in Central Luzon are now at 9,673.

Cases recorded in the whole region in the last 14 days have reached 13,761.

Some 1,832 cases have died of Covid-19.
