400 participate in DTI's Touchpoint conference

HUNDREDS of individuals participated in the Touchpoint: A Central Luzon business conference hosted of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) that was held on April 21, 2021 via Zoom.

The conference, themed "Maximizing Innovation and Technology in the Better Normal," gathered over 400 stakeholders from different fields to discuss the modern ways of interaction, communication and transaction using modern technology for better delivery of services and goods.

It was also aired live on Facebook, where about 2,000 individuals watched and interacted during the conference.

Topics discussed include importance of the proper use of information technology to deliver public services, to transact business and enable clients to connect with government and the business sector.

The economic growth of the Philippines before the pandemic was also showcased, while importance of modern technology for economic recovery was highlighted.

Also discussed was "eCommerce Philippine Roadmap 2022," which aims to promote the more extensive and easier participation of MSMEs in the eCommerce world, as more and more businesses worldwide are already into it.

The participants were also given knowledge on how to avoid online fraud by taking caution when transacting business or entering personal information in unknown websites or social media pages.
