TWELVE of the 61 barangays in Bacolod City have no reported coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases for two weeks.

Bacolod City Emergency Operations Center (EOC) records showed that from April 13 to 26, 12 barangays have no records of Covid-19 cases.

These are Barangays 4, 8, 9, 13, 16, 19, 20, 22, 24, 25, 37, and 41.

As of April 25, Bacolod City has a total of 7,192 cases of Covid-19. Of the number, 6,087 patients already recovered, 900 are active cases, and 205 have died.

On the same day, Bacolod had 102 new Covid-19 cases with two deaths.

Dr. Chris Sorongon, deputy for medical data and analysis of the Emergency Operations Center-Task Force, said earlier that most of the new Covid-19 cases were authorized persons outside residence, locally stranded individuals, dialysis patients and pregnant women, among others.

He said they are still encouraging and enjoining the people of Bacolod City not to be complacent.

Sorongon reminded the public to always observe minimum health protocols, such as wearing of face masks and face shields, washing of hands and observance of physical distancing.
