Mikey Williams has finally signed his rookie contract with the TnT Tropang Giga, ending a weeks long stalemate between the fourth overall draft pick of the 2021 PBA Draft and the flagship professional basketball team of the Manny V. Pangilinan group.
The 6-foot-2 guard who has glowing credentials reportedly signed a two-year deal that will pay him a whopping P200,000 each month during his first year and P250,000 per month in his second season.
The Filipino-American guard previously played for Sioux Falls and Canton Charge in the NBA G League from 2016 to 2018 and then, the Saigon Heat in the ASEAN Basketball League before making his way to the Philippines to play for the GenSan Warriors in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League and Mighty Sports in several international leagues.
Williams is still in Los Angeles but TnT officials are already hard at work in trying to bring him back to the country. (JNP)
