ACTOR Gerald Anderson will be suiting up for a Brew Authoritea-backed team in the Mindanao Leg of the 2021 Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup.

Anderson was initially set to play for the Cagayan de Oro Rafters but the local government unit has declined the offer to host a team in the country’s very first professional basketball league in the south.

Aside from Anderson, the squad of team owner Mogs Gonzales has assembled a formidable roster filled with players returning to the pro ranks. Anderson's former teammate in Imus JR Cawaling will be the team's captain and will be joined by Ronjay Buenafe, Mac Baracael, Riel Cervantes Paul Sanga and Cebuano gunner Joseph Sedurifa.

Completing the squad are Lucas Tagarda, Ralph Salcedo, Francis Munsayac, Mark Sarangay, Andro Catipay, Andoy Estrella, John Gonzaga and former University of Southern Philippines Foundation ace Brylle Meca.

Vis Valencia will serve as the head coach of Brew Authoritea while composing the staff are Dale Lacorte and Leo Avenido. Nino Valenzuela is the team manager. (JNP)
