Ang Philippine Air Force (PAF) Public Affairs Office mipahibawo nga usa sa upat ka mga crew nga luwan sa military chopper ang nakalas sa dihang nahagsa sa kadagatan sa Getafe, Lalawigan sa Bohol, Martes sa buntag, Abril 27, 2021.
Basa sa opisyal nga pamahayag nga giluwatan ni Ltc. Maynard Mariano, chief sa Air Force Public Affairs Office nga nagbase sa Villamor Air Base, Pasay City, nga usa ka MD-520MG Defender Attack Helicopter sa 15th Strike Wing ang nipahigayon og engineering flight nga nanukad sa Mactan Benito Ebuen Air Base sa Lapu-Lapu City.
“The aircraft is on maintenance flight and those are the areas na pinaggagawanan nila ng maintenance flight...(meaning) equipment check flight. It’s a periodic maintenance flight,” pasabot ni Mariano.
Mga sakop sa PAF 505th Search and Rescue Group, 47 Infantry Battalion ug ang Bohol Provincial Police Office ang niresponde didto sa crash site. Base sa spot report nga giluwatan sa Getafe Municipal Police Station, si Air Force Capt. Aurelio Olano nga taga-Candijay, Bohol ang gideklarar nga dead on arrival.
Samtang naangol ang ubang flight crew nga sila si: First Lt. Hilary Bunao, 27, co-pilot nga taga-Quirino Province; A1C Rex Anapio, nga taga-Cavite, Province; ug A1C Bonn Arasula.
“While they were flying in the air space of Getafe, Bohol the said helicopter suffered a mechanical trouble and eventually fell down,” tipik sa natala sa spot report.
