2 men killed, over P100 M worth of drugs seized

TWO men were killed and P102 million in a drug bust worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) were recovered in a drug bust in Taytay, Rizal on Tuesday evening, April 27, 2021.

Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Debold Sinas on Wednesday April 28, identified one of the slain drug suspects as Alvin. The other remained unidentified.

The two men were killed allegedly after engaging cops in a firefight at 11:55 p.m. Tuesday in Barangay Sta. Ana Extension.

Seized from the suspects were 15 kilograms of shabu worth P102 million.

Sinas said Alvin was a “notorious” illegal drug proliferator in Calabarzon, National Capital Region and nearby regions.

He added that Alvin was one of the distributors of Michael Lucas, who was arrested at Town and Country Homes, Dasmariñas, Cavite on Monday while in possession of 10 kilograms of shabu valued at P68 million.

“He (was) also one of the cohorts of a drug group that is connected to a certain Chinese national based in Hong Kong who calls them and gives instructions when and to whom they will distribute the illegal drugs,” said Sinas.

Meanwhile, police arrested another suspect identified as Mary Grace Sison during a drug bust in front of a public market in Harmony Hills 2, Barangay Loma de Gato, Marilao, Bulacan.

Seized from her possession was more or less 500 grams of suspected shabu with the estimated street value of P3.4 million. (SunStar Philippines)
