Lieutenant General Corleto Vinluan Jr., commander of the Western Mindanao Command (Westmincom), said the firearms and explosives were recovered by the troops in a joint law enforcement operation in Sitio Lasian in Kabuling village, Pandag, Maguindanao.

Vinluan said the subject of the search warrant, Ongga Guiamad, has eluded arrest.

Guimad sensed the presence of the operating troops, he added.

The warrant server team recovered from Guiamad’s residence one Barret rifle, one M-79 grenade launcher, two fragmentation grenades, one rifle grenade, six unserviceable caliber .38 revolvers, one unserviceable KG9, 26 live ammunition for shotgun, parts of caliber .45 pistol, five bandoliers and three sling bags.
