Law enforcement operations net 2 most wanted persons

LAWMEN have arrested in separate law enforcement operations two of the most wanted persons in the provinces of Zamboanga del Sur and Zamboanga Sibugay, the police reported Thursday, April 18, 2021.

Police Captain Edwin Duco, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested most wanted persons as Junard Lumadang, 25; and, Rodolfo Cabañero, Jr., 36.

Duco said Lumadang was arrested in a law enforcement operation by way of service of warrant of arrest by joint team of police and soldiers around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Balukbahan village, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur.

Duco said Lumadang was listed as the number seven most wanted person in Bayog and has a standing warrant of arrest for the crime of rape with no recommended bail issued on September 24, 2020, by the court of Pagadian City.

Cabañero was also arrested in a law enforcement operation by way of service of warrant of arrest around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte, according to Duco.

Duco said Cabañero is the number five most wanted person in Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay and has a standing warrant of arrest for the crime of rape with no recommended bail issued on April 3, 2017, by the court of Ipil of the same province.
