THE City Government of Bacolod has retained the curfew hours from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. and the liquor ban as it remained under the modified general community quarantine status (MGCQ) from May 1 to 31, 2021.
Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia issued Executive Order (EO) No. 21 for the extension of the MGCQ in Bacolod City from May 1 to 31.
Leonardia, who signed the EO on April 29, said while Bacolod City has maintained its MGCQ category, its constituents must not remain complacent, especially that in the last two weeks from April 13 to 26, 2021, Covid cases in the city have spiked again.
“Thus, reminding us that even more vigilance and caution must continue to be observed and exercised in matters of public safety and health protocols,” he said.
He added the City Government of Bacolod has always been in faithful compliance with the national policy regarding the Covid-19 public health emergency, acting consistently with the instructions and manner of observing public order, especially in safeguarding the health and welfare of its constituents.
The EO stated that any person below 15 years old; those who are over 65 years old; those with immunodeficiency, comorbidity, or other health risks regardless of age; pregnant women; and any person who resides with all the aforementioned are still required to remain in their residences at all times, except when necessary, such as obtaining essential goods and services or for work in permitted industries and offices.
For the period of this extended MGCQ, daily curfew hours will continue to be observed from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.
The rules and regulations in the selling of liquor, wine, beer or any alcoholic or intoxicating beverage in public places will continue to be allowed only from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Resolution No. 101, Series of 2021, dated February 26, 2021 issued by the National Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases providing for uniform protocols by way of land, air, and sea travels will also be observed and enforced.
Upon arrival, all passengers bound for Bacolod City must present the following documents at the Bacolod Travel Protocol Desk at the Bacolod-Silay Airport or any of the seaports of the city for travelers coming from areas outside of Western Visayas:
-A negative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test result, which must be obtained within 72 hours before and upon arrival in Bacolod City for its validity, except for national government agency-authorized persons outside residence who shall be exempted from this requirement;
-Online BaCTrac registration;
-Online Health Declaration;
-SPass;
-Travel Coordination Permit; and
-Valid personal identification card.
Leonardia said it is strongly advised that given the rising number of daily Covid-19 cases in the city over the last two weeks, activities that usually attract large gatherings should implement a smaller attendance at only 30 percent of the seating or venue capacity to contain the further spread of the coronavirus.
