Covid-19 cases on the rise as Oro logs 70 new cases

CAGAYAN de Oro has noted a rising trend of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in the city, recording 70 new cases, all of which were local transmissions.

According to the City Health Office, of the 70 new local cases, 30 were local cases with link, eight were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), 31 were local index cases, and one death.

This brought the total number of confirmed infections in the city to 4,896.

Of the 4,896 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 437 were under the returning overseas Filipino workers/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 4,459 cases were local transmissions.

Cagayan de Oro has logged 475 active cases, 110 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 362 were outpatients, and three were ROFs/LSIs.

The city also registered seven new coronavirus-positive persons who were tagged as "recovered," bringing the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 4,204.

Of the figure, 310 were LSIs, 122 were ROFs, and 3,772 were local cases (community: 3,207; Apors: 565).

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city was at 217.
