CENTRAL Luzon had the third-highest number of confirmed coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in the Philippines, the Department of Health reported on May 1, 2021.
Based on the data released by the agency, Central Luzon had a total of 86,682 confirmed Covid-19 cases.
The number only represented some 8.28 percent of the total confirmed Covid-19 cases in the country, which was already at 1,046,653.
The region with the top Covid-19 cases was the National Capital Region with 460,613 followed by Calabarzon with 183,423.
Meanwhile, only 72,248 of the total confirmed cases in the country were active as of Saturday, as the 957,051 have already recovered and 17,354 passed away.
