AN ESTIMATED P24,000 worth of shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in a drug bust operation by operatives of Police Station 5 in Purok Chereza 2, Barangay 27, Bacolod City Friday morning, May 7, 2021.
The operation also led to the arrest of Jason Benal, 37, of Barangay 27.
Indiape said Benal was arrested after he sold a sachet of shabu to a police undercover around 12:20 a.m.
Police recovered from Benal’s possession 12 sachets of shabu weighing four grams, coin purse and the P500 marked money.
Indiape said the suspect was under surveillance for almost a month before his arrest.
The suspect was detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 5 and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (MAP)
