BCPO Covid-19 cases now 85

THE Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) has now a total of 85 policemen who tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Bacolod City, an official said Friday, May 7, 2021.

Police Lieutenant Ma. Liberty Indiape, spokesperson of BCPO, said from April 24 to May 6, 85 policemen including three police officials tested positive for the Sars-CoV-2, which causes the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

She said all of them were transferred to the city’s quarantine facility and most of them were asymptomatic. Contract tracing was also conducted, as well as the regular disinfection at BCPO headquarters and all police stations.

She added of the number, five personnel from Police Station 4 were already discharged from the quarantine facility, but they were still required to undergo seven-day home quarantine.

Indiape noted that an augmentation from BCPO headquarters was also deployed to various police stations since some of their personnel tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.

All BCPO personnel earlier underwent swab tests based on the recommendation of the Emergency Operations Center, since they are also frontliners.
