Bacolodnons pay tribute to their mom's on Mother's Day

THE role of mothers is very significant in every family, home, and society.

They are not just ordinary individuals but superwomen in their own roles and right.

But with the Covid-19 pandemic, celebrations are again done in a modest way. Under the new normal, as our way of expressing our love to our mothers, we make sure that their safety comes first. For those who do not live under one roof, greeting them online or through phone calls and sending them flowers will surely make their day.

Yesterday (May 9, 2021), during the International Mother's Day celebration, some of the mothers have received sweet messages and flowers from their offspring.

Nicole Gayle Gustilo who works overseas greeted her mother Gerlyn over Facebook: "To the person who has given me unconditional love, who loves me despite my flaws, who taught me how to believe in myself in order for me to achieve greater things, who pushed me not to be the best but to be so much better than I thought I would be Happy Mother’s Day! I love you so much!"

Nicole also had a sweet surprise from her girls Nicole, eldest, and Cameron Julienne who send her flowers.

Gerlyn in her message to her two daughters said:" I love you both so much! Thank you, Lord, for my babies! Being a mother is indeed the greatest blessing! Happy Mother's Day, mga momshies!!"

Dhanica and Dhels Jaster, daughter and son of journalist Teresa Ellera also greeted their mother during her special day and surprised her with a cake as they greeted her, "Happy Mother’s day ma!! Love you always!!"

Scarlet Sangcap, a mother herself has greeted her fellow mothers, "Happy Mother's Day to all! Virtual hugs to all beautiful women who continue to stay afloat and enjoy the tide!!! Stay strong and adorable !!!"

Bellie Mar Alositain greeted her Nanay Melba with this message: "Happy Mother's Day to my twinnie Nanay. A lot of my friends told me that I look like my Nanay Melba and I feel the same. Nanay Melba never ceases to love us unconditionally. Despite that we are already grown-ups, she still takes care of us as if we are still minors. We love you Mom! Stay pretty always and God bless you more."

Leah Lamb has a message to her Nanay Henrietta: "Happy Mother's day Nanay. When I was little, before I go out to play with my friends, Nanay would always remind me not to go home crying. When others will bully me, Nanay will never waste a single moment to confront the parents and tell them about the wrongdoing of their child.
