Canduman vendors receive P1.4M livelihood aid from DOLE

SOME 47 beneficiaries from Barangay Canduman, Mandaue City recently received financial assistance from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 7 worth P1.4 million pesos.

DOLE 7 granted each beneficiary P29,000 to P30,000, depending on the requirements of their individual projects, through the agency’s Starter Kit Assistance (SKA) package under its Kabuhayan Program.

With the capital, the beneficiaries will soon engage in various projects, such as setting up a sari-sari store of frozen food, dried fish and other items, fish vending, barbecue selling, putting up eateries, bag making, overruns selling, ready-to-wear and meat selling, coffee machine vending, and snacks selling, among others.
