(Foreword: This is the continuation of our response to Divine D. on her queries on natural ways to help gout.)

DEAR Divine D.,

Moving on. Here’s more natural help for you.

5. Kombucha

This is a medically fermented tea which you can get from health shops. This tea has healthy infusions of fungi, bacteria and other fermented products which can help to relieve pain and inflammation. Drink the tea twice a day.

6. Ginger and Turmeric

Ginger and turmeric both have anti-inflammatory properties which are very effective in easing the pains from gout and inflammation. To get rid you out from gout, boil them for about 20 minutes or use it as an ingredient in your tea. Drink this tea about 2 to 3 times a day.

You can also use these two substances by adding them to different cooking recipes. You can also make ginger and turmeric paste which you can mix with water and apply it to the affected area or which is swollen.

7. Pineapple

Pineapple is a good natural remedy for Gout. It has bromelain enzyme which is an effective anti-inflammatory and helps to cut down the uric acid count in the body and gives you relief from pain. Eat a small bowl of pineapple twice a day. And at the same time, drink pineapple juice.

But, then again, if you still have those pains even if you have tried these natural methods out, please see your physician and don’t forget to take your medicines for gout, especially if gout runs in your family.

Good luck!
