THE Tour de Mati Theo Cup has registered a total of 588 participants who will compete in 12 categories for the upcoming bicycle competition on May 16, 2021.
The breakdown of participants per categories are as follows:
* Open Category Mountain Bike and Road Bike with 43 participants
* Ladies Category MB and RB with 31 participants
* Fat Boys Category with 27 participants
* Age Category (15-39) MB and RB with 130 participants
* Age Category (40-49) MB ad RB with 25 participants
* Age Category (50 up) MB and RB with 26 participants
* Fun Ride with 306 participants
Prizes will be given for the age group categories of 15-39, 40-49, 50 and above; fat boys categories; and open categories.
The first five finishers for age group and fat boys categories will receive medals and cash prizes of P3,000 for the first place, P2,000 for the second place, P1,500 for third place P1,000 for the fourth place, and P500 for the fifth place.
Additionally, the first to fourth finishers will receive trophies.
Open category’s first five finishers will also receive medals and cash prizes of P10,000 for the first place, P7,000 for the second place, P5,000 for third place, P3,000 for the fourth place, and P2,000 for the fifth place. The first to fourth placers will also receive trophies.
Finisher medals will be given to the rest of the finishers in the different categories.
Fun ride category participants will receive a certificate and a finisher's medal.
Tour de Mati Theo Cup will be on May 16 and will kick off at 4 a.m. at the Mayor FGR Mati Park and Baywalk. This is in partnership with various offices of Mati City's Local Government Unit such as the City Sports Office, Sangguniang Kabataan, City Tourism Office, City Events Office, and the Local Youth Development Office.
