Active Covid-19 cases in Cagayan de Oro now at 758

THE number of active coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Cagayan de Oro has reached 758.

As of 10 p.m. Monday, May 10, the City Health Office recorded 39 new cases, 15 of which are local cases with link, five are local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), 18 are local index cases, and one death.

This brought the cumulative Covid-19 case count to 5,469.

According to Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery, of the 5,469 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 438 were under the returning overseas Filipinos/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 5,031 cases were local transmissions.

Of the 5,031 local cases, 222 were persons deprived of liberty (PDLs), 2,572 were local index cases, and 2,237 were local cases with link.

The city's active cases, on the other hand, were composed of 196 who were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 560 outpatients, and two ROFs/LSIs.

Cagayan de Oro also registered 29 Covid-19 patients who have recovered from the disease, bringing the total recoveries to 4,481, with an 81.93 percent recovery rate.

Of the figure, 312 were LSIs, 123 were ROFs, and 4,046 were local cases (community: 3,444; Apors: 602).

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 230.
