San Fernando logs 1,569 Covid-19 cases in April

THE City of San Fernando logged its record-high number of new cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in April 2021.

Based on the data released by the City Information Office, a total of 1,569 cases of Covid-19 were reported in the city for the whole month of April.

The number, which was the highest since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, was equivalent to some 37.61 percent of the total 4,172 confirmed Covid-19 cases in the city.

The data also showed that from March to December 2020, the city only logged a total of 1,355 cases of Covid-19.

Meanwhile, 883 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in this city from January to March 2021, while a partial count of 365 cases were listed for the first 10 days of May.

As of May 10, the city had a total of 829 active Covid-19 cases, while 3,214 patients recovered and 129 died.
