Recovery rate in Cagayan de Oro down at 81.20%

THE City Health Office has noted the continuous rise in the number of new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Cagayan de Oro, recording 72 local cases.

The recovery rate has gone down to 81.20 percent after the city registered 24 Covid-19 recoveries, bringing the total number of those who have recovered from the disease to 4,557.

Of the 4,557 recoveries, 312 were locally stranded individuals (LSIs), 123 were returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs), and 4,122 were local cases (community: 3,505; Apors: 617).

As of 10 p.m. of May 12, 72 residents of the city tested positive for the novel coronavirus, 20 were local cases with link, 11 were local persons outside residence (Apors), 40 were local index cases, and one death, according to Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery.

The total number of confirmed cases in Cagayan de Oro is now at 5,612.

Of the 5,612 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 438 were under the ROFs/LSIs category and 5,174 cases were local transmissions.

Cagayan de Oro recorded 820 active cases, 198 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 620 were outpatients, and two were ROFs/LSIs.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city was at 235.
