Guagua active Covid-19 cases reach 142

THE number of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) active cases in Guagua, Pampanga has once again reached a total of 142 with at least 52 people dead, according to Mayor Dante Torres.

Torres renewed calls to local residents to observe minimum health protocols, as he further emphasized the importance of social distancing in minimizing the spread of the virus.

He said Guagua is among the towns in the province with the most number of reported deaths.

“Most of the deaths are people in their twilight years and those with comorbidities. That is why I am always calling on those in the most vulnerable sectors to please observe proper social distancing,” Torres said.

He said the town is still assisting in the rollout of vaccines in the province.

He said the first batch of those inoculated were seniors and those with comorbidities.

Torres said that funding is currently available once the town gains access to vaccine supplies to further inoculate more sectors.
