Carmen holds most number of cases, Covid-19 deaths in Oro

BARANGAY Carmen is the village with the most number of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases as well as Covid-related deaths in Cagayan de Oro, recording a total case count of 707 and 24 total deaths.

Barangay Carmen, however, is one of the areas in the city with the lowest case fatality rate, which is at 3.39 percent.

Following carmen are Barangay Lapasan with 23 deaths; Barangay Gusa with 17; Barangay Macabalan with 15; Barangay Balulang with 14; Barangay Bulua with 14; Barangay Bugo with 13; Barangay Camaman-an with 13; Barangay Kauswagan with 12; Barangay Patag with 11; Barangay Tablon with 11; Barangay Puntod with 10; and Barangay Lumbia with nine.

The village with the highest case fatality rate in Cagayan de Oro remains to be Barangay Puntod at 11.49 percent.

The barangay with the second-highest case fatality rate is Barangay Macabalan at 8.98 percent, followed by Barangays Tablon (8.21 percent), Lapasan (7.40 percent), Camaman-an (6.44 percent), Gusa (6.39 percent), and Bugo (5.33 percent).

Barangays with case fatality rate less than five percent are Barangays Bulua (4.71 percent), Lumbia (4.29 percent), Balulang (3.91 percent), Carmen (3.39 percent), and Kauswagan (2.54 percent).

Barangay Carmen has the most number of Covid-19 cases in the city at 707.

The rest of the barangays are Barangay Kauswagan with 473 cases; Barangay Balulang with 358; Barangay Lapasan with 311; Barangay Bulua with 297; Barangay Gusa with 266; Barangay Patag with 262; Barangay Bugo with 244; Barangay Lumbia with 210; Barangay Camaman-an with 202; Barangay Macabalan with 167; Barangay Tablon with 134; and Barangay Puntod with 87.
