(UPDATED) Mexico's Andrea Meza was crowned Miss Universe 2020 on Sunday, May 16, 2021 (US time), besting contestants from 73 other countries and territories.
Meza, 26, succeeded Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi of South Africa, who was the longest-reigning queen due to a hiatus in 2020 caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
