AT THE age of 10, Shayne Galang developed a love for cooking. She became a fixture in their humble kitchen, helping her mother prepare their meals for the day.
Even when she almost burned their kitchen down, it didn’t stop her from cooking.
“It was a learning experience,” Shayne shared as she recalls her younger days in the kitchen.
When Shayne got the opportunity to work in Singapore as a hotelier and flight attendant, she continued her passion for cooking. She made Filipino dishes for her fellow overseas Filipino workers and even for her foreign colleagues.
In 2016, she went back home and took professional make-up lessons.
When Shayne became a professional make-up artist, she joined the ranks of popular Kapampangan personalities in the event industry.
As she worked long hours for various events like weddings and debuts, she noticed that more often than not, all they eat is takeaway from fast-food restaurants.
“We all know that that’s not healthy. That’s when I thought of curating meals especially for events crew and staff,” Shayne said.
Thus, in 2019, she opened the online-based kitchen “Kusina ni Aling Bevang.” Bevang was one of her nicknames during her high school years.
Kusina ni Aling Bevang prepares healthy, delicious, and neatly packed meals perfect for office staff, indoor and outdoor working crew, and people on the go.
Aside from individually packed meals, Kusina ni Aling Bevang also offers party tubs perfect for family gatherings or just about any event.
