TWENTY-EIGHT artists in the cities of Bacolod, Sagay, Escalante and Cadiz collaborate to launch the "Pinta Pademya," an art show that depicted the various situations influenced by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The event runs on May 17-31 at the Event Cente of the Ayala Malls Capitol Central in Bacolod City.

Sugar Cuenca-Tonogbanua, one of the organizers, said the Pinta Pandemya features artworks created by the artists during the quarantine and lockdown period.

"The pandemic has a significant impact in our lives as artists, citing the anxiety and health consciousness that brought us fear to be exposed to the virus from other people. Our lifestyle and freedom and our work have been curtailed by the pandemic. But the pandemic also has its brighter side, as it gave us hope and strengthened our faith in God that He is in control of everything. During quarantine, artists had more time spent with the family and they had more time to create artworks to express what's inside them and also to inspire people," she said.

The Mixlada Art group is composed of Anthony V Tonogbanua, Ariane Nicole Andrada, Charlemagne Gargalicano, Christine Joan Ragudo, Cyrene Cuenca,

Gil John Quiamco, Jing Torrecampo Mai Mai Cuenca, and Sugar Cuenca- Tonogbanua.
