AN ESTIMATED P47, 600 worth of shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in a drug bust by operatives of Police Station 7 in Purok Kabugwason, Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City Monday evening, May 17, 2021.
The operation also led to the arrest of Marciano Martinez, 37, and Jake Ybon Bantilan, 28, both residents of Barangay Mansilingan.
Police Captain Elmer Bonilla, chief of Police Station 7, said Tuesday, May 18, that the suspects were arrested after they sold a sachet of shabu to a police undercover at 7:05 p.m.
Police recovered from the suspects three sachets of shabu weighing seven grams, the P500 marked money, and P903 cash.
Bonilla said Martinez was the subject of the operation. He was under surveillance for almost a month before his arrest.
The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 7.
They will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
