DA opens farmers' market at Pampanga mall

THE Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (Amad) of the Department of Agriculture (DA) led the opening of the Farmer’s Market at Jenra Jumbo Mall on May 18, 2021.

The purpose of the program is to feature fresh, nutritious and high-quality agri-fishery products at affordable prices.

The Department also wants to help farmers and fishermen increase their income, especially in line with the Farmers and Fisherfolk’s Month celebration.

The event featured the products and yields of ten groups from small-medium enterprises (SMEs) with their respective Agri-karts or kiosks where their products were displayed. The program also included fresh vegetables harvested by farmers from the region.

The ten groups or SMEs that participated in this program were Mama JACO Kitchen, Pansinao, Rose Bitoy Salted Egg, Ollie’s Footwear, MeliSent Fashion, Jian Lee Enterprises, ML Bounty Food Products, Apung Susa’s Food Product, Tiltilan Delicacies and Grann Garden Shop.

The program will run in the said venue until June 18, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
